CB Tour Reaffirms Commitment to Scratch Bowling, Begins Season 4 Planning
The Championship Bowlers Tour has issued an update to bowlers and fans as it prepares for its fourth season, emphasizing that its commitment to competitive scratch bowling in the Western United States remains unchanged. The tour said it is working behind the scenes to establish a sustainable long-term platform while finalizing host centers, event dates, partnerships, and player-focused formats.
Over its first three seasons, the CB Tour says it has paid more than $250,000 in total cash and prizes while providing sport-pattern competition and high-production tournament coverage. Tour leaders Chayton and Kenzi said the organization has already built a foundation as a home for scratch bowlers and intends to continue that mission moving forward.
Season 4 Priorities
The CB Tour identified three main areas of focus as it develops the upcoming schedule:
- Securing host centers and dates: The tour is coordinating its own bowling-center responsibilities with host venues to ensure dates are confirmed before a full schedule is released.
- Rebuilding the funding base: Following the departure of its previous headline sponsor, the CB Tour is seeking new partners to maintain the prize-fund and production standards players expect.
- Creating player-focused formats: Organizers are reviewing entry structures and formats for Season 4, particularly for non-major events, with the goal of keeping tournaments accessible as travel costs rise while protecting participation and prize depth.
