MCRD Recreation Center generally refers to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego recreation complex at 3800 Chosin Avenue. It is an on-base recreation venue with bowling, arcade games, food service, a lounge/bar area, and spaces for Marines, families, and authorized guests. 

The bowling and game center is reported to have 12 lanes, plus a snack bar and arcade. MCRD San Diego also identifies the Community Center as a place where new Marines and visiting families can bowl, use free arcade games, eat at Domino’s, watch movies, and access email or other amenities. 

Access is the key consideration: because it is located on Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, visitors must meet base-entry and identification requirements. Family members attending graduation or visiting an authorized service member should confirm gate procedures and venue access before making plans. 

The older bowling-center listing gives operating hours of 9 a.m.–11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.–12:30 a.m. Friday, 11 a.m.–12:30 a.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday; however, current schedules may differ.
